The stunning beauty of the Boka Bay, of the nature and ancient villages-Risan, Kotor, Perast, Tivat ...The sea bordered by steep mountains, indenting 28 km into the shore. Hills and mountains divide waters of the bay into the bays in Herceg Novi, Tivat, Kotor and Risan-Kotor bay, which are connected with two straits -Kumborski and Verige, where the bay is narrowest.
So, from the top of the mount Vrmac you can see on one side Kotor, a city with a thousand-year old history and part of the world cultural and natural heritage, and on the other side Tivat, the old-new city oriented towards tourism and Tivat archipelago which consists of Prevlaka Peninsula and the islands of St. Marko and Gospa of Milosti (Our Lady of Mercy).
The highest peaks on the mount Vrmac are Sveti Ilija (785m) and Velji vrh (712m), and one of the most beautiful villages is Gornji Stoliv which is dominated by a tall steeple of the church of Sv. Ilija (St. Elijah). The main walking trail follows the line of crest and is suitable for mount-biking, and a whole network of old roads and paths is suitable for hiking and mountaineering.
From Gornja Lastva you can walk “along Medjica,” to Bijeli pijesak (the White Sand). Here you will have ever-expanding vistas of the Bay of Tivat, and over Luštica of the open sea and the trail goes further Vlaka saddle, along the trail down the slope to Gornji Stoliv. As soon as you pass the saddle, vistas of the Bay of Kotor and Perast with two islands will open. From Gornji Stoliv the trail is almost without any inclination and it ends above the gorge Verige with a breathtaking view. From Verige (Pečkovica) to village Veće Brdo the trail goes along the open space, then through the woods to the hamlet Orašje. From there you can walk a couple of hundreds of meters to Gornja Lastva.
