The Port of Kotor is situated on the horn of Boka Kotor bay, near the walls of the Old City.
The maritime history of this area and world has carried out and has reflected at its work. The port and its existence and surviving are in unbreakable connection with the development of the area and the maritime economy generally.
The depth of the sea near the shore is from 12,8 meters on the top of operative shore to 3 meters at the end of the part of the shore towards the Škurda river, respectively 12,8 meters to 8,6 meters at the other part of the operative shore dedicated for performing of international maritime traffic.
The land part of operative surface of the port amounts about 4000 m².
The port is opened for traffic 365 days in a year, 24 hours, what implies the possibility of arrival/departure of vessels during the whole year in all terms.
